The 10th Annual Akula Foundation Fundraiser

The Akula Foundation is dedicated to offering resources to extend hospice services to all members of NOLA society, regardless of their ability to pay. The fundraiser will be hosted at Southport with New Orleans style dishes and cocktails. Music by U4ria will set the tone of the night, followed by a silent auction. Proceeds will support the further education, financial support, and hospice services for underserved families as they traverse the difficult challenges of hospice care for their loved ones.

When: July 14, 2017 – 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Hannah’s Klozet Foundation Resiliency Gala 2017

The Foundation is a non-profit seeking to address non-medical special needs of cancer patients, especially women. The organization functions as a community network liaison.  Hannah’s Klozet Foundation Resiliency Gala offers a night of entertainment and performances by New Orleans’ Royal Essence Band. Dinner and wine will be included with the tickets purchase. All donations raised go towards the purchase of prosthetic, mastectomy and fashionable bras as well as post-surgery compression garments for post-reconstruction survivors.

When: July 29, 2017, 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. PDT

Where: The Grand Ballroom at The University Of New Orleans

 

A Purple Wonderland Childhood Cancer Benefit hosted by Delete Cancer

Although a serious cause, the benefit seeks to make the most out of the night by providing a dinner, comedy, dancing, poetry and more entertaining acts throughout the evening. The dress code is formal with shades of purple to support cancer awareness. A silent auction will be held to help support childhood cancer. Guests can also look forward to door prizes. Come party with a great purpose to help support research that fights childhood cancer.

When: Saturday, Sep 16, 2017, 8:00 PM –Sunday, Sep 17, 2017, 12:00 AM CDT, 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.
